This seating project was an attempt at merging two typologies, a bench and a table, the idea being that the user would find themselves seated amidst their important objects. The seat surface is made from an enourmous pad of integral skin polyurethane foam, which provides seating comfort and a protective surface for precious objects. A rack extends from the rear legs, providing a place to hang bags and coats, and a front leg-wall provides the lateral structure for the expansive platform. This project was developed with Danese in 2008 and received a mention of honor for the Compasso d'Oro in 2011.
